The Christian fish symbol on the menu cover sort of tells the whole story.
Cornerstone Family Restaurant in Eureka opened in 2000. It is a family-oriented business based on Christian principles, which just happens to serve amazing food.
Breakfast features 7 kinds of omelets, pancakes, waffles, biscuits and gravy, the much-beloved breakfast bowl featuring eggs on hash browns and covered with gravy and/or cheese. That’s just the Cliff Notes version. We don’t want to get your mouth-watering too much before we get into the lunch and dinner menus.
Lunch features a variety of sandwiches including chicken (grilled or deep fried), pork tenderloin, BBQ, Roast Beef, BLT, Philly Steak & Cheese and many varieties and weights of hamburgers. All sandwiches are served with chips unless you want to upgrade to a basket combo (you DO!) and then you get two sides including mashed potatoes with gravy, southern fried okra, crinkle cut fries, green beans with ham or your choice of 8 other down-home side dishes.
The Cornerstone also features a taco salad in an edible bowl, chili, soup, and lots for both kids and seniors to choose from.
Folks coming to dinner favor the Hot Roast Beef house specialty featuring tender roast beef layered on white bread with a mound of mashed potatoes covered with brown gravy. Fancy eating this ain’t. Good eating this is!
If you’re not in the mood for roast beef, try the meatloaf, the country fried steak, the pork chop, catfish filet, fantail shrimp or chicken breast. And speaking of chicken, your visit to the Cornerstone is not complete without ONE person in your party ordering the broasted chicken. What is “broasted” chicken, you may ask? Only the best fried chicken around. Broasting combines pressure cooking and deep frying concepts, producing especially juicy meat and extra crispy skin.
You can order just a single piece, but we advise you to go for the 4-piece meal. You’ll be glad you did. And nothing tops off your Cornerstone meal like a homemade cookie boat. The cookie boat is chocolate chip cookie filled with soft-serve ice cream and topped with chocolate syrup and whipped cream. It’s everything good about the world, served up in one sweet, sweet bowl of flavor.
So stop by Eureka and bring your entire family to the Cornerstone Restaurant. Owners, Mike and Donna Sweeney and their three kids (who all work there) will be glad to see you. And serve you some of the best food this side of heaven.
